What Would You Like to Know?
DO YOU HAVE TO HAVE TUMBLING OR BE FLEXIBLE?
Tumbling and flexibility are not mandatory, but it is always encouraged! You should be stretching for your kicks and jumps in and outside of practice or attending open gyms to better your skills.
WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN SIDELINE & COMP?
The Sideline Team exclusively cheers for a sport, school performance/event, and do not perform at sanctioned competitions.
The Comp Team does not cheer for any other sport. They perform routines in front of judges where they are scored solely on their showmanship, tumbling, jumps, and stunting skills.
HOW OFTEN DO YOU PRACTICE?
Sideline team practices 3-4 days a week for 2-3 hours, with Game Days on Friday. Competition team practices 3-5 days a week.
WHAT HAPPENS IF MY GRADES FALL BELOW A 2.0?
Failure to maintain your grades will result in a 6 week probation period. At the next 6 week grading period if your grades have not improved, you will be removed from the team.
CAN WE HAVE OUR NAILS DONE?
No nails or nail polish is permitted during the cheer season with the exception of Homecoming and Prom.
WHAT SPORTS DO YOU CHEER FOR?
Our Sideline team cheers for Football, Basketball, Soccer, & Wrestling.
Our Competition team has competitions on Saturdays. Schedule will be provided.
HOW MANY ATHLETES ARE CHOSEN FOR EACH TEAM?
We do not have a set number of athletes, it varies each season. Our athletes are selected based on skill level and our team needs.
WHAT HAPPENS IF I QUIT THE TEAM?
If you quit or are removed from the team, you will not be required to forfeit your following year tryout, and return to tryouts the year after. Example: If I am a Sophomore (10th grade) and I quit the team, I will not be able to try out again until my Senior year (12th grade).
